Macau Sauna Tiers on the August 2026 Board: 1,728, 2,228 or 2,828?

Published

Late every evening at East Castle Spa, a guest fresh from the changing room stands at the front desk pointing at the same three numbers on the board: MOP 1,728, 2,228 and 2,828 (August 2026 board). The question is always some version of “what’s the difference?”

The desk’s answer never changes, and it fits in two sentences: the price buys the type of massage and its style, not the length of it. The lowest tier, 1,728, is actually the longest session of the three, at a full 90 minutes.

Which makes choosing a one-minute decision. And whichever tier you pick, booking through this site carries the same three perks (current for September 2026): no entry fee, a free transfer anywhere in Macau (pick-up and return), and one free add-on service of your choice from a list of eight, including back scrub, head massage, foot massage and ear cleaning. Transfer details are on Location & Transfers.

The three tiers at a glance (August 2026 board)

ItemLengthMenu priceKey difference
Aroma full-body massage (also the minimum spend once changed in)90 minMOP 1,728Classic aroma technique, the longest of the three
Oil full-body Japanese-theme massage (free-choice)60 minMOP 2,228Japanese theme, massage approach chosen by you
Premium full-body Japanese-theme massage60 minMOP 2,828Therapist band of your choice

These are the menu prices on the board effective 16 August 2026. On top of a menu price sits a therapist service fee: a fixed amount per therapist band, with the amounts as posted on the board in the venue. A 10% service charge and a 5% tourism tax are then added separately at settlement — three distinct items, itemised on the bill. If the board changes, the version posted in the venue on the day applies, and we confirm the current numbers in your booking chat before you set out. The full menu is on Massage Menu.

90 versus 60 minutes: the one thing the board doesn’t say

The table holds every number. What it cannot hold is the follow-up the desk hears nightly: why are the dearer tiers shorter? The standard explanation takes three exchanges.

“Same length for all three prices?” “No. The 1,728 is ninety minutes of classic aroma. The other two are sixty; what you’re paying for is the Japanese theme and the style.”

“Then what separates 2,228 from 2,828?” “At 2,228 the approach is free-choice, decided on the spot. At 2,828 you name the therapist band as well as the approach.”

“And the therapist service fee?” “It sits on top of the massage price. Take the 2,228 with a MOP 2,000 therapist band: 4,228 first, then the 10% service charge and the 5% tourism tax — about MOP 4,862.”

By the last answer, most guests are already pointing at their tier.

Where the minimum spend fits

The minimum spend once you have changed in is simply the first tier: MOP 1,728 on the August 2026 board. That figure already buys the 90-minute aroma massage, with the in-house dining counted in; it is not a door ticket. For the line-by-line breakdown, see our earlier piece “The MOP 1,728 Minimum Spend, Explained”, referenced here without repeating it.

What the desk gets asked next

Most tier decisions happen right at this counter, and rarely take longer than a minute.

Did the prices just move? Yes. From 16 August 2026 the three tiers went from 1,468 / 1,928 / 2,528 to today’s figures, with the three-tier structure unchanged; every number in this article follows the current board.

Which tier for whom? The desk’s usual steer: the longest stretch of pure relaxation, take the aroma; curious about the Japanese theme but happy to decide the approach on arrival, take 2,228 free-choice; already set on a style, take 2,828 and name it. The therapist team is multinational, and it serves all three tiers alike.

Arriving in the small hours? To be straight about the one limit: therapists are on shift 15:00 to 06:00 the next morning (verified August 2026), so an arrival after 06:00 waits for the afternoon shift to begin. The venue itself runs 24 hours, and sauna and rest areas are open the whole time. The order of things once inside is on Your Visit.

FAQ

Is the cheapest tier, 1,728, the shortest?

No. On the August 2026 board, MOP 1,728 is the 90-minute aroma full-body massage, the longest of the three; the two 60-minute tiers buy the Japanese theme and the style.

Do the three prices include service charge and tax?

They do not. As of August 2026, a 10% service charge and a 5% tourism tax are added separately to the menu price at settlement.

Can I still choose between the three tiers late at night?

The venue is open 24 hours; therapists are on shift 15:00 to 06:00 the next morning (verified August 2026). All three tiers are arranged within shift hours.

Do the booking perks differ by tier?

No. Book via this site and all three tiers carry the same perks: no entry fee, free transfer across Macau, and one free add-on service (current for September 2026).

Before you set out tonight

The August 2026 board is these three numbers: 1,728, 2,228, 2,828. The difference is type and style, not time. Two separate facts worth keeping apart: the venue is open 24 hours, and therapists are on shift 15:00 to 06:00. Book via this site and every tier carries free entry, free Macau-wide transfer and one add-on.
