The MOP 1,728 Minimum Spend on the August 2026 Board, Explained

Almost every question that reaches our booking chat about East Castle Spa (東方皇堡水療) is really the same question wearing different clothes: what does it cost to get in? The figure people find is MOP 1,728, and they read it as a door charge — the price of a ticket, before the actual evening begins.

It is not that. As of August 2026 the MOP 1,728 is a minimum spend, and the difference matters, because the minimum is already met by things you were going to have anyway. Change, walk in, take a 90-minute Aroma full-body massage, eat, drink, and you have reached it. The useful question is not “what does entry cost” but “what does 1,728 buy”, and that has a concrete answer.

What the minimum already includes

One full-body massage, and the food and drink inside. The kitchen runs steak, soups, seafood, fried rice, fried noodles, noodle soup, pork, lamb and sandwiches; the drinks are soft drinks, juice, coffee, tea, milk tea and Red Bull. Spirits and wine are charged separately. There is no KTV and no floor show — this is a spa floor, not a club, and the about page sets out what that means.

Overnight, free sleeping space and a free lounge area come with the visit. A private rest room is a paid extra, as are add-ons like ear cleaning, manicure, pedicure, head massage, foot massage, leg massage, hand massage and a back scrub.

The two charges that sit outside the printed price

Every figure on the board is a menu price. As of August 2026 a 10% service charge and a 5% tourism tax are added on top; neither is inside the number you read. Better to show the arithmetic than to surprise you with it.

Premium full-body, Japanese-theme (therapist band of your choice)60MOP 2,828MOP 3,252.20

Worked through: the Aroma full-body at MOP 1,728 attracts MOP 172.80 in service charge and MOP 86.40 in tourism tax, which is MOP 1,987.20 all in. The right-hand column is not a different price list; it is the same three prices with the two components made visible. It does not yet include the therapist service fee, which the board charges on top of the menu price as a fixed amount per therapist band, with the amounts as posted in the venue. That fee is added to the menu price first, and the 10% and 5% then apply to the sum — an Oil session at MOP 2,228 with a MOP 2,000 therapist band is MOP 4,228 before surcharges, or about MOP 4,862.20 settled. The board in the venue is the last word, and current details can be confirmed when you book.

The whole board is on the massage menu. The venue takes cash, card, WeChat Pay and Alipay.

Where the 1,728 sits in a real evening

Take the simplest version. You arrive in the afternoon or late at night — as of August 2026 the venue is open 24 hours, so either works — change, and have the 90-minute Aroma massage. Therapists are on shift from 15:00 until 06:00 the following morning, which is the separate fact that decides when the massage itself can happen. You eat. You use the pools and the lounge. The minimum spend has been met by the massage alone, and the food did not add to it.

Take the fuller version. You choose one of the more than 20 scenario rooms the venue describes, add a foot massage, stay the night. Now you are above the minimum, and every figure above it is still a menu price with the 10% and the 5% to follow. Nothing is hidden either way. The your visit page walks through the sequence from the lift door onwards, and the questions page covers the smaller details.

Book through this site and, as of September 2026, there is no entry fee at all, plus a free private transfer anywhere in Macau in both directions and one free add-on service.

So the honest answer to the question people actually ask about East Castle Spa: MOP 1,728 is not what it costs to walk in. It is the floor of what you spend once you are already inside, and it has a massage and dinner underneath it.
