The Eight Add-Ons, and When to Use Them

Published

East Castle Spa Macau bath hall, candlelight along the pool and the recliners

You have soaked, you have steamed, and you are back on a recliner with the heat still in your shoulders. This is the point in the evening when a therapist offers you the list and asks which one you would like. Eight names, and most guests stop on one of them, because the name says where it happens and not what it is.

So here is the whole list, written out once. The first thing worth knowing is that nothing has to be decided in advance. Book through this site and one of the eight is free; you choose it inside the venue, on the night, from whatever your body is asking for by then.

The one that only works while you are still warm

The back scrub happens out in the bath hall. A therapist works a mitt down your back, lifts off everything the hot water has already loosened, and rinses you clean. It feels nothing like scrubbing at home, mostly because someone else can reach the middle.

This is the only one of the eight with a fixed place in the evening. It belongs to the minutes straight after the pools, while your skin is still open. Once you are dressed and upstairs, its moment has gone. The other seven are yours at any hour a therapist is on shift.

The two that quiet you down

Ear cleaning is the one first-time guests reach for most. A therapist works with a headlamp and a set of fine tools, clearing the canal slowly and finishing with a soft brush. It is gentle, it is quiet, and it takes very little time before most people stop talking and close their eyes.

Head massage runs from the temples and hairline back around the skull to the sides of the neck. If you have spent the day in meetings, or on your feet in the September heat, this is the twenty minutes that lands hardest. Both are done in the room, before or after the full-body session, whichever suits. The order of a visit is laid out on your visit.

The three that follow the massage

Foot reflexology is pressure-point work on the sole. A therapist moves from the heel forward to the ball of the foot, point by point, and you will feel it in your legs afterwards rather than only in your feet.

Leg massage picks up higher: calves, the back of the knee, the big muscles of the thigh, worked open in long strokes. Hand massage takes the palm, the knuckles and the forearm in turn, and it usually surprises people who have been gripping a phone all day.

These three sit best after the full-body session, when everything is already loose and you are simply adding a region. The full menu and session lengths are on the massage menu.

The two on your way out

A manicure here is trimming, filing and tidying the nail edge, no colour. A pedicure is the same work on the feet, and it is easier after the pools, when the nails are soft. Both are best kept for the end of the night: you finish, you dress, you leave.

If you are still deciding where to spend the night itself, more than twenty themed scenario rooms are photographed on the scenario rooms page.

Twenty minutes each, and your hour stays your hour

Each add-on runs about twenty minutes and is counted separately from the massage. The 60 or 90 minutes printed on the menu begins when the therapist starts work in the room. Everything before that, the pools, the steam, the long sit on a recliner, is your own time.

Two clocks, kept apart: the venue is open 24 hours, and therapists are on shift from 15:00 to 06:00 (verified September 2026). Add-ons follow the therapist hours. Bathing and the rest area do not. Anything added individually is charged as posted in the venue; on the board of 18 September 2026 the printed price is the all-in price, with service charge and tourism tax counted inside it and nothing added at settlement.

What guests ask us most nights

Do I need to name it when I book?

No. Tell the therapist inside the venue on the night. Nothing needs to reach us beforehand, and the free pick is held for anyone booking through this site.

Does an add-on eat into my massage time?

It does not. Each one runs about twenty minutes on its own count, while the 60 or 90 minutes of the massage starts when the therapist begins.

How many of the eight are free?

One, for guests booking through this site, and it goes on whichever of the eight you name. Anything beyond that can be added individually inside the venue, with items and rates as posted there on the day.

I am arriving very late. Is that a problem?

The venue is open around the clock, and add-ons are arranged inside the 15:00 to 06:00 therapist window. Anything else is covered on the questions page.

Three things to send us

Leave three things on the booking form: your date, the hotel you are staying at, and whether you want a light night or a full one. We handle the private car and the consultation; pickup and address details sit on location and transfers. The list of eight can wait until you are back on that recliner with the heat still in your shoulders. Point at one.
